A challenge for current refineries is the right way to course of heavy crudes and handle the technical constraints associated with such feedstocks. A brand new heavy crude was found at the Mangala area in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, India, in January 2004. The crude assets went into manufacturing in late August 2008.
